Some commercials  would have you believe that “L-o-v-e” comes packaged in petals and chocolate, red & white, paper hearts and hallmark cards, dinner and a movie, candelight and music, or in one commercialized day in February.  

I say, it just ain’t so.

So where is “L-O-V-E”?

“L-o-v-e” comes packaged in hats and coats.

“L-0-v-e” comes packaged during a slide on the snow. (Quick! Did you miss it?)

L-o-v-e  comes packaged in an afternoon nap.  Shhhhh….

“L-o-v-e” comes packaged in a playful grin.

“L-o-v-e” comes packaged in the everyday, ordinary aspects of life.

You know, those things that we overlook in our day to day, hurried existance.

Things such as a husband’s hearty laugh, a baby’s drool, a mother’s homemade meal
or simply
that single moment in time which is now gone forever.

We had a great time scooping up all of these great toys from the Goodwill
the other day.  Wooden toys are our favorite!

The cash register works great, and doubles as a kiddie calculator.

This toy still had a $13.99 retail store price sticker on it. 
On the side opposite of the abascus, there’s a tic tac toe board.

What an awesome wooden ABC toy spinner.

This retro phone is Jack’s favorite toy right now!

This little ride on toy has all sorts of sounds and music that plays,
and a hidden compartment under the seat.

This little clacker duck retails new for $19.99 at Melissa and Doug Online.

All of the toys above cost just under $20 total!

Can’t beat a good thriftin’ day.
