Merrily We Roll Along

Ok.

So before I had baby Jack five weeks ago, I had all of these wonderful ideas planned out for tracking his babyhood, detailing his life, and so forth.

Charts of diaper changes, daily diaries, photograph journals, growth charts, daily naked photo shoots with his teddy bear for the first 365 days so I can create an animated growing flip book….

Yeh.

Right.

Over the past several weeks, I’ve inadvertantly discovered that the only thing I am successfully able to track is whether or not I’ve managed to eat one halfway decent meal in the preceding 24 hours.  :)

And let’s not mention all of the blog posts that are not currently forthcoming (due to my incompetant ability to type with one hand).  I lay in bed at night, whilst blissfully feeding a horizontal nursing infant (”look ma! no hands!”), thinking of all the wonderful topics I’d love to share at that very moment.

My mind races with excitement…my heart pounds with the possibilities… and then I fall asleep and forget all about them.

If only I had wireless internet so my laptop could lay in bed with us.

‘Tis a shame to let all of these ideas I have (er, well, think I have..since I can’t remember) go to waste.  So, just close your eyes and pretend you’re currently reading a long, detailed, wonderfully adjective’tated post on the 100 best ways to love your baby or How to avoid spit up stains.

And then silently cheer me on.

Yay!

(And for more personal news… all is well in motherhood land!  I’m loving every second of it.)

Ciao. :)

I can totally relate! I had so many plans of what I would do as a mommy. Even now with a one year old, I am still lucky if I get a shower every day. Too many things demand my attention, like the laundry on my bed right now that needs put away before I go to bed. Oops, I better go take care of that!

This week I posted my ten favorite things about being a mom. I LOVE being a mom!!!

Heather » LOL! My basket of washed laundry stayed in the utility room too long…and next thing I knew, it was scattered all over the floor. Seems like the dogs had thought it a new game to jump on our pants. :) I hate laundry. bleh. It never ceases!
