 Meet Wimbley the Womb Bear

This, folks, is one of the newest additions to our family.

And his name is Wimbley.  Wimbley the Womb Bear, to be exact.

Protector of the Universe.  Comforter of Babies.  Defenders of Moms.

He is capable of many feats.  One of those feats includes the abillity to mimic the sounds that a baby hears while in the mother’s womb.  Unlike most brown bears, Wimbley can raise or lower the volume of those sounds too by just twisting his knob asking him to hush. :)  He also has this keen ability to quiet down automatically after 45 minutes!

I had seen this magnificent creature in Walmart the forest one day, and begged him to come home with us.  He wasn’t too sure of himself that day though, so he refused my offer.   But a few weeks ago, Kevin ran up on him and talked him into making our house his permanent home so he could watch over Little Jack as he grew up.  How excited I was when Kevin walked in with him that day!   (Thoughtful husbands are wonderful delights to have).

We laughed when he said his name was Wimbley.

(I think that angered him).

Even though he still didn’t know us too well at the time, he was gracious enough to make the hospital trip with me during the labor scare.  He didn’t eat too much, but he did get thirsty a lot (the nurses assumed I was drinking all that water!).

Like us, he’s now anxiously awaiting Little Jack’s birth.  Sometimes I wonder if he’s more anxious than I am!   We hope they become very, very good pals and plan on taking pictures of Little Jack and Wimbley together.

It will be so cute watching Jack grow up - and surpass - Wimbley in size one day.  (Although I shan’t dare tell Wimbley that’s going to happen.  He might get a complex).
