About Our Site

Hello everyone!  This is Lisa (aka “Jack’s Mommy”).

I originally created this blog  in the wee hours of January 18, 2008 as a place where friends and family members could keep track of our first baby, Jack-Evan (aka “Little Jack”) throughout pregnancy, birth, and his first few years.  At the time I was 6 months pregnant with our very first child and less than 2 years along in our marriage.

Boy times have sure changed!

We’ve now been married for over 4 years (and doing better than ever) and a new addition has sprung up over here in Little Jack’s Corner.   Miss Maggie-Jo, AKA “Jo Jo”, made her appearance almost 2 years to the date of when Little Jack first arrived.

My husband and I are fast heading towards the final years of our “20s”.  We’re followers of Christ (we even met in church!) so much of my writings on here reflect our christian heritage and Biblical biases.  We both grew up heavily influenced by conservative thought, so we’re a pretty traditional family.  We take our “traditionally-defined Biblical roles” seriously.

Most of the time, the posts here are told in my voice, however as Little Jack grows, more posts will be told from his point of view (look for them under “Little Jack Speaks”).  Of course, since Lil’ Jack’s typing skills aren’t up to par, I do the typing for him.  (You can see who is talking after the title of each posting.)

When posting, I write about things to do with family life.  You’ll find not only hilarious accounts of Little Jack’s adventures in growing up, but also topics that I personally enjoy talking about – such as life as a housewife, cleaning tips I’ve found to be helpful, thoughts on being a mother, growing in faith as a christian lady, and even investing.  You know, just random bits you’ve always wanted to know of the every day details that make up a stranger’s life.

Our life isn’t perfect (and some days I refuse to do yet another load of laundry!), but we’re a very happy family…..so I like to blog about positive things.  Take it or leave it, this is us.  It’s who we are.

I hope you enjoy our little “home on the web”. :)

Thanks for visiting!
