About Our Site
Hello everyone! This is Lisa (aka “Jack’s Mommy”). I created this site / blog as place where friends and family members can keep track of our first baby, Jack-Evan (aka “Little Jack”) throughout pregnancy, birth, and his first few years. It is also used as a writing outlet for me.
My husband and I are both in our mid-20s, and have been married (first marriage for both of us) since June, 2006. From what I’ve seen amongst the mommy blogs and other women run blogs, I feel like a youngster! I do try hard though and like to share what I’ve learned as a newlywed with others in my same position (c’mon, I know there have got to be other women out there who were as clueless to housekeeping as I was). :)
We’re also Christians (we even met in church!) and much of my writings on here reflect our christian heritage and my Biblical biases. We both grew up influenced by conservative thought, so we’re a pretty traditional family, and take our “traditionally-defined Biblical roles” seriously.
Most of the time, the posts here are told in my voice, however as Little Jack grows, more posts will be told from his point of view. Of course, since Lil’ Jack’s typing skills aren’t up to par, I do the typing for him. (You can see who is talking after the title of each posting.)
When posting, I write about things to do with family life. You’ll find not only details of Little Jack’s growth, and photos, but also topics that I enjoy talking about - such as our favorite recipes, life as a housewife, cleaning tips, thoughts on being a mother, growing in faith as a christian lady, and even investing. Our life isn’t perfect (and some days I refuse to do yet another load of laundry!), but we’re a very happy family…..so I like to blog about positive things. Take it or leave it, this is us. It’s who we are.
I hope you enjoy our little “home on the web”.
Thanks for visiting!
