About Lil’ Jack
Or…..Now We Are Two
(Last Updated on July 16, 2010)

Hello everyone! My name is Jack-Evan Elijah. I am now 2 years old and have officially taken over this blog. In fact, since hitting 2, I have taken over everything. I once heard some silly adult say that mommy and daddy were large and in charge. I beg to differ.
Sometimes I do let mommy write things on here since she was nice enough to create this blog for me, although I myself have been popping out fabulous blog posts since I arrived in the wee hours of May 4, 2008. (Please find them under the tag “Little Jack Speaks” and read them all. Now. Go. Don’t wait. I’ll wait. Go read.)
….
Over the past two years, my vocabulary has grown tremendously and so have my experiences. It’s been tough learning the ways of this new scary world though. Sometimes I wonder if I can crawl back into my mommy where it’s safer. Mom says I can’t do that, but she promised me that she and daddy will always be here to protect me. I’m glad!
I do, however have a slight grudge that she let my new baby sister crawl OUT of her when she refused to let me back in there.
My mom laments sometimes about how fast I am growing. I only weighed 6 lbs 11.5 oz when I was born, but now I weigh over 27 lbs and have recently succeeded in this thing called potty training.
If you’re a long time reader of my blog, you’ll remember that mommy use to let me keep a list of my “firsts” on this page. Now that I’m two, however, I’ve experienced so many “firsts” she subtly suggested that my readers may not care about reading the entire list of 1001 things I’ve done so far.
Yet mom has a list of 65 things about her that will bore you quite silly.
(Don’t tell her I said that because I love my mommy).
