We celebrated Jack-Evan’s 2nd birthday with a small family celebration yesterday. Hard to believe it’s been 2 years since I gave birth to him!
The 2nd pregnancy is going great…only a week and a half left before the due date. Jack’s baby sister will be named “Maggie-Jo” in honor of 2 grandmothers (Kevin’s was Joanne and mine was Margaret). I am absolutely thrilled to be having a baby girl and although Jack doesn’t realize what a life changing event is about to occur, he is able to tell people where “baby sister” is by pointing to mommy’s tummy. 
In other news…
Thank you to all who have written me comments and nice notes during my absence! I haven’t blogged really at all during this pregnancy because I can’t figure out what in the world is wrong with my WordPress set up. I’ve tried moving the blog to another updated database on my host but I can’t get my old posts exported & then imported correctly. And when using this blog set up, none of my comments can be approved. I approve them and then 2.7 seconds later they’re back in moderation. I’ve upgraded wordpress to various different versions… I’ve even tried downgrading… and it all has to be done manually through FTP b/c the automatic upgrade thingy in wordpress admin doesn’t.work.either. GRRR. I’ve tweaked settings, dug into the code, checked my hosts settings, checked php & mysql settings, googled in desparation. I spent the weekend working on it a few months back hoping everything would turn out ok but nothing worked. I had great plans on posting cute things I was doing with Jack as far as his education goes but everytime I would sit down to think about writing a new post, I would be hit in the face with a “DOH, I forgot the blog is wonky” realization.
It’s extremely frustrated so (as yall have surely noticed by now) I’ve just abandoned posting until I have the time and energy to devote to figuring out how to fix everything on the back end. I don’t want to just start anew because I love having all of my old posts here in the archives (they date back to January 2008 when I was 6 months pregnant with Little Jack – it’s kinda like my own little diary of his life). So for now I’m stuck with a frustrating can’t-figure-it-out blog.
Hopefully I’ll figure it out over the summer and get everything working again.
Anyway, thought I would drop in despite the frustration and post a picture of the cute little cake I made for Jack-Evan. He loves strawberries but doesn’t like cake. Sooo…I had thought a strawberry filled cake (the insides were hollowed out and filled with strawberry pie filling) would entice him.
He took all of two bites. Oh well. At least we got some cute shots of him for the photo album!
