This is exactly what I needed today. My husband and I had a huge, devastating blow out over the weekend. He was feeling as if I never support him and I always find a negative comment whenever he wants to pursue his goals, hopes or dreams. I was so shocked, as I never saw it this way, I thought I was being business like by pointing out the pros and cons. This post was right on time, as I have been seeking out encouragement on how to be a more supportive wife. Thank you for posting this.

It’s amazing how I was led here… and how much I needed to read this very article. We are struggling financially and I’ve felt that my husband was just giving up and taking the easy way out… I never “heard” him saying ‘support me’, ‘stand behind me’, ‘believe in me’ – NOW…. I replay all those conversations over and I hear exactly that! Thank you for your insight and bringing this to others.

WOW! I cannot thank you enough for sharing this! I have been reading (and gathering good links) to posts from your blog, but this one really hit me hard. I am like you when it comes to my husband, praising him publicly and privately, not saying things in a hurtful way. And my husband has a LOT of tough days at work. THank you so much for your wisdom. We have been going through an extremely hard time financially for the last few years and unfortunately, I have not been a very helpful woman to my husband. I have hurt him and wounded him out of my own fears. I pray desperately that God will help me to hold my tongue during this time and be a friend and helpmate to my husband.
