This generation has really hurt themselves by not paying enough attention to this area. Great Job posting something as basic as a budget. Being an accountant, I see too many people not doing budgets and pretty soon their using their loc to pay off cc debt. Not good! My only additional suggestion is to consider taking a small amount of the spending money and paying extra principle on your mortgage. We've been married for 12 years and are now on our second house with a small mortgage. We took our monthly mortgage which was $625/12. We paid just over $50 extra ea month and saved 7 years on our mortgage! It's amazing how much $50 a month will save you in the years to come! Thanks for your blog! By dividing what should be left for the rest of the month, I see there's enough to cover the bills, but what about putting aside for the next month's payment?
